چکیده
Visible/near infrared spectroscopy (Vis-NIRS) was used to monitor the yellow-fleshed kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis Planch ‘Jintao’) ripening on two selected orchards along 13 weeks, from pre-harvest late harvest. Calibration models for several Internal Quality Attibutes (IQA) were built spectral data of 375 individual kiwifruit. The analyzed IQA L*, a* and b* CIELAB color space, hue angle, chroma, firmness, dry matter (DM), soluble solids content (SSC), juice pH titratable acidity (TA). Different pre-processing methods tested construction PLS calibration models. SSC Hue best performing with a correlation coefficient 0.81 0.88, root mean square error prediction (RMSEP) 1.27% 1.95?, respectively. interpretation in terms known absorption bands impact signal noise ratio (SNR) them is discussed. perform average predictions orchard subareas, each day experiment. These compared IQA’s reference values same subareas days. model’s metrics improved significantly through averaging procedure, RMSEP = 0.26–0.36% R2 0.99 SSC; 0.42? – 0.56? ? 1 Hue. Since management done essentially averages not values, this result reinforces applicability NIR technology follow-up fruit tree.

Nitrogen Concentration Estimation in Tomato Leaves by VIS-NIR Non-Destructive Spectroscopy
Nitrogen concentration in plants is normally determined by expensive and time consuming chemical analyses. As an alternative, chlorophyll meter readings and N-NO(3) concentration determination in petiole sap were proposed, but these assays are not always satisfactory. Spectral reflectance values of tomato leaves obtained by visible-near infrared spectrophotometry are reported to be a powerful t...
متن کاملnondestructive evaluation of internal quality characteristics of kiwifruit by vis/nir spectroscopy
abstract the assessment of ripeness is a major part of quality evaluation and depends on several factors such as soluble solid content (ssc), acidity and firmness. most of the methods that measure these qualities are destructive. so it is essential to develop an efficient and nondestructive method for measuring internal attributes of fruit. the objective of this study was to investigate visible...
متن کاملAn examination of the principle of non-destructive flesh firmness measurement of peach fruit by using VIS-NIR spectroscopy
Evaluating the maturity of peach fruit is desirable during both the preharvest and postharvest periods, and flesh firmness (FF) is a representative maturity index. Although a non-destructive FF measurement technique using visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has been developed, the principle has been unclear. This study was conducted to examine the structure of the FF prediction m...
متن کاملPear quality characteristics by Vis / NIR spectroscopy.
Recently, non-destructive techniques such as the Vis / NIR spectroscopy have been used to evaluate the characteristics of maturation and quality of pears. The study aims to validate the readings by the Vis / NIR spectroscopy as a non-destructive way to assess the qualitative characteristics of pear cultivars 'Williams', 'Packams' and 'Carrick', produced according to Brazilian conditions. The ex...
